I've been researching modern nutrition and the effects the toxins we're exposed to daily have on our bodies for years now, and let me just say, if you're feeling overwhelmed - join the club! It's mind-boggling what has been allowed to go on with our toxicity levels in everything from our produce to our toothpaste to our mattresses. But don't let it discourage you!! Cleaning out your system and finding the right balance will, quite literally, make you feel like a new person.I suffered from an undiagnosed hormone imbalance issues for so long, it was to the point where I just assumed I was actually losing my mind and that this was just the way the rest of my life was going to be. Eventually, I was diagnosed, but no doctor seemed to have a solution to the problem. Then I saw the documentary Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead and decided to get control of my life back. I thought we were a relatively healthy household, but it made me look at the food in our pantry in a whole different light (additives! GMO's! high fructose corn syrup! dyes! you name it!) We ditched packaged foods and went strictly Real/Whole Foods Only. I began juicing (did not do a detox) daily. And the difference it has made is astounding. I plan on updating as the detox goes along (most likely in the comments, as this review is already long enough).Highly recommended for anyone who has been toying with the idea of a detox but hasn't gone for it yet. The information and success stories provided in this book were enough to convince me to go for it, so why not you? Also for those who are seasoned detoxers and may be looking for some new information and recipes.Here goes nothing!
